This model shows a section of a continuous tubular rail system, the geometry of which was created parametrically. Uniform and alternating span loads, as well as temperature, are used as load examples. In addition, wheel loads were applied using the moving load wizard. Various steel joints have been implemented as examples, including a round-tube column base with stiffeners, a round-tube flange with stiffeners, and joints between tubes of different diameters. The model also includes asymmetrical tube flanges and welded joints of hollow sections. The add-ons Steel Design, Steel Joints, and Stress-Strain Analysis have been used for the design calculations.
