The model was created as part of the Dlubal Talent CTU competition and presents a design for a pedestrian and cyclist footbridge over the Jizera River in Semily. The designer, Martin Forman from the Department of Concrete and Masonry Structures at CTU, proposed an integrated parapet structure made of post-tensioned concrete, which minimizes maintenance due to the absence of bearings and bridge abutments. An alternative design included a comparative study with a beam-type footbridge and reinforced concrete variants, in which post-tensioning proved necessary for the given geometry. Micropiles were used instead of conventional piles due to the rocky subsoil.
