This change applies to the steel design standards EN 1993 and NTC.An option labeled "Always use equivalent member method for fire design" has been added to the Ultimate Configuration. When this option is enabled, both buckling lengths and boundary conditions can be assigned to a member or a member-set. In this case, the boundary conditions (General Method) are used for the ULS verification, while the buckling lengths (equivalent member method) are used for the fire design verification.This option may be necessary because the standard permits only the equivalent member method for fire design verification.
