The location is part of the model's Base Data, not the loads. You can find it in the Base Data dialog box, on the Model Parameters tab of the Location section.
There are two ways to do this:
- Enter the location information directly into the input boxes.
- We recommend using the graphical selection in the Geo-Zone Tool. You can access it by clicking the […] button in an input box or by clicking the map button. Click on the map to set the position; the address and geographic data will be imported automatically. Once you confirm it by clicking OK, RFEM retrieves the load zone data for this location.
What happens automatically next: the load wizard for snow loads and wind loads use the load values for this location. In the Parameters tab of the wizard, the definition type is then set to “Map and Parameters,” and the load is determined automatically. The geographic location also appears in the printout report.
If any values are missing, check the Standards I tab to ensure that the country selected in the load wizard—and, in particular, the National Annex—matches the location. You can also manually specify the load zone, elevation, and the value of the characteristic snow load using the “User-Defined” definition type.
