Lateral-Torsional Buckling Design – Load Position

I set the load eccentricity in the model so that the load acts on the upper flange of a beam. However, the design does not take this into account. The critical buckling moment corresponds to the stabilizing effect. Why?

Answer:

The load eccentricity in the model does not affect the lateral-torsional buckling design. The load position in the lateral-torsional buckling design is determined based on the ultimate limit state configuration.
