The design of timber connections with pin-shaped fasteners is currently limited to steel-timber connections according to Chapter 8.2.3. Pure timber-timber connections on shear, taking into account the Johansen theory, are, therefore, not possible at the moment.
The direct timber-timber connections using fully threaded screws can be designed with the RF-/JOINTS Timber – Timber to Timber add-on module, which is used for calculations of the main secondary beam connections.
