Define criteria of the stabilizing surface: Type 'member support'
The dialog box for defining a stiffening surface shows the "Stiffening" tab with the "Type" category and the "member support" selection. The stiffening direction is set to x. Under "Supported members", members 53, 54, 91, and 92 are specified for the exterior span, as well as members 60 to 64 for the Inner Bay. The "No effect on" section lists members 39 to 44. Graphics illustrate the stiffening direction x with local axes and the distinction between Inner Bay and exterior span members.
