Optimization of Reinforcement in Reinforced Concrete Slab

Display of the results of a linearly elastic analysis of a slab in RFEM 6.

A 3D model representing a monolithic reinforced concrete slab measuring 46.8 × 20.7 m with a thickness of 280 mm, supported by 450 × 450 mm square columns. The model includes an opening and was analyzed in RFEM 6 using the finite element method for the punching shear design of surfaces, members, and shear studs. The results proved the optimization of the reinforcement compared to a manual calculation. The model was created by Michaela Rotterová as part of her bachelor’s thesis, which was included in the Dlubal Talent CTU competition.
